The Embassy proudly hosted the closing event of the school visit of Rajkumar College, Rajkot to the Maharaja Schools, Warsaw on 6th June 2024 at the Embassy premises. We welcomed Mrs. Maria Kotowska, Director of the Board of Governors of the Maharaja schools, Mr. Bartlomiej Pielak, its Deputy Director and senior students and parents of the school. We also welcomed Mr. Yash Saxena, Principal, Raj Kumar College, Ms. Keyuri Gohil and students of the school. Ambassador Krzysztof Byrski, the family of the Late Mr. Wieslaw Stypula and Mr. Andrzej Chendynski, President of the Association of Poles in India, graced the occasion. 

Ambassador Nagma M. Mallick spoke on the historical role of the Jamsaheb of Nawanagar in furthering the people-to-people relations between India and Poland; she expressed her happiness that the exchange programme between the two schools was one more happy outcome of that historical relationship. The Jamsaheb was patron of the Rajkumar College and the Maharaja schools are named after him. 

The students spoke about what they had learned from the exchange programme. A small group of students from the Maharaja school had visited the Rajkumar College in Rajkot last November to launch this initiative. During the cultural performance, Mr Franciszek Kalus, pianist and graduate of Maharaja School, gave an enthralling performance on the piano. Ms. Ma?gorzata Kupli?ska delighted the audience with a graceful performance in Bharatnatyam.
